If you're not familiar with the HITRUST (Health Information Trust Alliance) CSF (Common Security Framework), it's a comprehensive framework of security controls. HISTRUST CSF certification requires demonstrating compliance with a multitude of regulatory elements, such as HIPAA, as well as industry guidance elements, such as CAQH CORE. And, plans must be in place for counteracting interruptions to business activities and protecting critical business processes from the effects of major failures of information systems.
