Accessibility for Availity Essentials help systems

Information about the compliance of Availity Essentials help systems with Section 508 accessibility standards.

All Availity Essentials help systems are designed to be compliant with Section 508 accessibility standards to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, enabling users with visual impairment and other disabilities to access and understand content.

We preformed accessibility testing of Availity Essentials help systems with the following screen readers: NVDA (version 2020.4), JAWS Professional Edition (version 2022). For the best user experience, Availity recommends using the NVDA screen reader.

Tips
When using a keyboard to navigate through the table of contents on a page-level help topic, note the following:
  • Use the Tab key to move to the next item and use Shift+Tab to move to the previous item.

  • Use the Enter key or the Spacebar to expand (display) or collapse (hide) a nested set of items.

    Note: For JAWS, use Shift+Enter or Shift+Spacebar.
  • If you're using JAWS and having trouble opening links, try using Shift+Enter to open the link, or use the search feature to find and access the topic you want.
