About browser cache

What is cache for a browser, why it helps to have it and also periodically clear it.

When you use a browser, like Edge, Chrome, or Firefox, it saves certain information, such as images and files, from websites in its cache and cookies. These are referred to as temporary internet files. This process allows sites to load quicker. Over time, the number of temporary internet files on your computer can grow and cause problems such as loading web pages or older versions of PDF files. Clearing the cache in your web browser gives it a 'clean slate' and fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites.
