Set up is required in Firefox to allow full functionality when using Availity revenue cycle management applications, including the Availity Learning Center.

Access Mozilla Firefox settings

Clear cache, add approved sites, and add allowed pop-ups in the Privacy and Settings page in Firefox settings.

  1. Select the application menu button three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other located at the upper- right corner of your Firefox browser, and then select Settings.
  2. Select Privacy & Security in the left panel.
    Troubleshooting: If the left panel displays only icons, Privacy & Security is paired with a lock icon.

Configure pop-up blocker settings in Mozilla Firefox

Set up Internet Browsers: Allow pop-ups and add trusted sites to Mozilla Firefox.

Availity Essentialsand the Availity Learning Center (ALC) use pop-ups to display information or sites. Set up is required in Mozilla Firefox to allow that functionality.

  1. On the Privacy & Security Browser Privacy page, scroll down to the Permissions section in the center panel.
    Note: The Permissions section is about half-ay down the page.
  2. Locate Block pop-up windows, and then select the Exceptions... button on the right-side.
    Tip: If the Exceptions button cannot be selected, make sure the Block pop-up windows box is checked.
  3. In Address of website, enter one of the below URLs, and then select the Allow button after adding each URL. Continue this step until all have been added.

  4. Select the Save Changes button in the lower-right corner of the window.

Clear cache in Firefox

Set up Internet Browsers: Clear browsing history and cache in Mozilla Firefox.

When you use a browser, like Mozilla Firefox, it saves some information from websites in its cache and cookies. Clearing them fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites. Clear your Firefox browsing history and cache to allow the browser to capture updated data.

  1. On the Privacy & Security Browser Privacy page, scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section in the center panel, and then select Clear Data.

  2. On the window that opens, make sure Cached Web Content is selected. If you want to clear cookies and site data, make sure Cookies and Site Data is selected.
    Notice: If the check box next to Cookies and Site Data is selected, you may be signed out of websites.
  3. Select the Clear button.
