Reset your password

My Account: When the user is locked out of their account, they can reset their user password to log back in to Availity Essentials.

Note: Availity has given a fresh, new look to the login page. When you notice the new login screens (windows), continue to log in to Availity Essentials with your existing username and password and follow the steps to login. Some users may have already seen the new screens.

Availity locks your account if one of the following situations has occurred:

  • You tried logging in several times with an incorrect password, and then submitted incorrect responses to your security questions several times.

  • You had issues during or after 2-step authentication enrollment.

Not to worry, you can reset your Availity password and then log back into Availity Essentials.

Follow these steps:

  1. On the Sign In page, select Forgot your password?.

    Username and/or password is not recognized on login window.
  2. Enter your user ID and then select Next.

    Enter user ID during password reset flow.
    If you cannot remember your user ID, select Forgot your user ID?. Enter your email address and then select Next. We'll send you an email that has your user ID.
    Enter your email address to retrieve your user ID during password reset flow.
  3. Check your email. An email is on its way that provides the instructions on how to reset your Availity user password.

    Check your email with instructions on the next steps to reset your password.
  4. Select the link in the email to reset your password.

    Email sent to user to reset the user's password.
    Enter a new password to reset your password to log into Availity Essentials.

    Select Next to reset your password. Once you have reset your password, select Go to Login to log back in to Availity Essentials.

    The reset of your new password is now saved. Use this password the next time you log in to Availity Essentials.
